Despite ranking the last out of the three dramas in the wed/thurs 9.55pm slot, SBS’s “Star’s Lover” has been constantly receiving praises since the airing of its first episode. The internet forums however, were recently overwhelmed with even more enthusiastic viewers vying to leave positive comments for the drama, leading to a surge of 3 times the usual number of comments after the airing of episode 6 on the 25th.
One viewer commented: “I didn’t had much expectation of it as initially I thought it was just an ordinary drama, but it became more interesting as the story goes.” Many held similar views of the drama as well. Most viewers had a sense of rejection towards the over-beautify top star Lee Ma Ri played by Choi Ji Woo in the beginning. But as the story unfolds, the cute and mischievous Lee Ma Ri began to make viewers fell in love with her.

As stated earlier, Episode 6 is good. The whitty, crafty and a bit childish conversations makes it fun to watch. From my observations, CJW tried to be funny in many movies, but was never funny as a comedian. However, the way CJW folded the lead actor, and put him in her pocket won the applause of an astute comedian!! Clap! Clap! Clap!!

That movie is not funny at all! In fact, it makes her looks really stupid. What CJW needs to develop is multi-layer emotions, not just one dimensional emotional posture. I prefer her not to act cute, but take on a more mature woman demeanor.
If you have watched the recent movie by Nicole Kidman--Australia--you will know what I mean. Nicole can be both funny at one hand when seeing the kangaroo jumping beside her, but immediate became despair and fear when the kangaroo got shot. It was so spontenous and within a split seconds, you can see multi-layer of emotions in Nicole's facial expressions. I think Nicole is at her best in Australia. Am betting on her winning an Oscar for 2009.
In fact, Star's Lover may be a tipping point for CJW --whether it is the beginning of an end, or an end of the beginning of her career is hard to say. Let's wait for a few more episodes before passing any judgment. Keep the finger cross, and just hope that she does not fall pray to the typical Korean drama plots....

I like Star's Lover a lot ,,, it deserve to gain praise or rating...I'm sure if it's aired other country, it'll get hit as so far..all foreigner watch it online and everybody love it!! coz of quality of the drama and actors/actresses

Jiwoo ssi should have won a lot of praises and good critics as the story goes to the end of Ep 10. Really admiring and her portrayal of Lee Mari has made all fans love this character. Her acting with YJT the leading actor has good chemistry and touching the hearts of the audience.
We all look forward to the upcoming episodes...she has surely enhanced her acting career and going onwards as good critics and praises coming along....fighting!!
