Aloha Jake,
Thanks for the prompt response to my queries. The info that Elfine furnished me with told me all I needed to know...Thanks,Elfine.
Jake, did CJW make an appearance in that show on Saturday night as you said she would? We,her loyal,die-hard fans pray that she'll be back on her feet soon after her recent eye surgery. We need to see her in more dramas & movies.
I've just caught the last epi.of WLS....... instead of soaring to great heights of happiness at the 'happy ending',I'm experiencing this sinking, rather bereft feeling....perhaps I had expected more.....
The drama on the whole is a haunting, poignant, sad & rather slow-paced love story appropriately set against the backdrop of an icy cold, white & barren winter.......The musical score is splendid and the two main protagonists lend color & warmth to this stark season by their vibrant colored winter clothing (esp.BYJ & the mufflers-I'm sure they've become a rage in Korea at the moment) & by the inextinguishable flame of their eternal love for one another.
However,,the passion & attraction between the Eugenia & Ming Yong is too understated, too controlled, too subtle-They are too inhibited.....It's never allowed to unleash itself as viewers would hope....
Is this done on purpose to further enhance the Winter theme? There is too little lip-to-lip contact for a love of that magnitude...the couple should be constantly in each other's arms at any chance they get but they're not....It frustrates the viewer sometimes esp when all the other vital ingredients are there: profound,heart-wrenching dialogues, pregnant pauses,
