Let me make statement : the following is my personal opinions, not representing this Website's opinions.
I personally think there were "something" tricky involved in this 40th PakSang Award's nominations and results. If I remember it correctly, at the beginning, SW, JW, and STH were listed in nomination, and they won overwhelming votes at then. Why SW, JW, and STH, CJW were withdrawn from the nomination list. As I see it, they were sacrificed by SBS because the whole award voting process was taken during the time that "The story of Bali" was in hot broadcasted in SBS. But STH was already finished. Earned enough money for SBS.
OK, let me make one more point : The overseas broadcasting rights of STH were almost settled. But the deals of "Story of Bali" is about to start negotiation. The results should be of great help to boost its prices !!
To see one more tricky thing : KSW gained "the most popular actor" award in film part, not TV part, but JW gained this award in TV part. That's a play of the so-called "quota". In another word, SW was "arranged" to get this award in Movie part, so to leave one "quota" for another star in TV part. Well, I would ask Koreans to comment : Did STH won more popularity for KSW or his recent movie won him more popularity ?
Of course, there should be even more tricks within. Not only on TV part, but on Movie part as well.The whole winner list was so "unbelievable". I think even Korean entertainment field, audience, as well as commentators should be able to see something unfair or ridiculous.
I saw one picture that all award grantors were taken photo together after the event, but SW and JW were not there. You probably can tell why. I think they were unhappy, and disappointed with what happened.
I am not saying that SW and JW should definitely win the best actor and actress respectively. However, a drama which won average viewership over 40% (this did not include online viewers), but the leading actor and actress are even not qualified for nomination ?? I guess it would then mean almost one half Korean audience are lousy audience without good sensibility. If anyone dare to say that audience's sensibility is always worse than those referees, then, no any producer, actor, and actress should put too much effort into play and expect to win support and earn good money.

Thanks Hope. Biased and totally unfair! Stairways to Heaven is so good, as can be seen at every voting websites. It is always on top of the world with high %tage! Even Jiwoo and Sangwoo racing ahead of others, on No.1 spot.

SBS sucks! I agree with your analysis. Juz hope JW and KSW are not discouraged by them and more positive things and greener pastures will await them to propel them to greater success, fame and popularity! Guess they feel there's no need to promote JW anymore cuz she's so popular and well known!

Hi this is momo who visit here everyday. I just saw the comment posted above from "momo" too, but it was not the comment I made, I'm wondering if there're two "momo"s here, just curious! I agree with you all, the results were disappointed, but the worst of all would be the "nomination list". Can't figure out why STH was not even on the nomination list, doesn't make sense at all.
