"YEONLIJI" 's Japan Screening Date

Choi Ji-Woo and Jo Han-Sun's movie "Yeonliji" by TaeWon Entertainment and WhiteTree Cinema's screening date in Japan has been changed from early fall 2006 and is now confirmed to be during Japan's "Golden Week" holidays, which is from the last week of April until the first week of May, 2006.
According to Toshiba Entertainment, the reason for the change in screening date is a part of the strategy to draw in more audience during the Japan' national holidays when all the banks, stock broker companies, government and public service agencies will be closed down. Therefore, they are expecting to take advantage of "Golden Week" for raising the ticket sales at the box office and turning the much talked about movie into a huge blockbuster!
Meanwhile, Korea's screening date still remains to be set for January, 2006.
"Yeonliji" has been sold to Japan's foreign films import company, Pony Canyon Inc. at a phenomenal price of & $3.5 million (35 million Won) even before the movie was screened and the total production cost of the movie has already been compensated and made profits from the sales. During the last part of the movie's filming in Udo, Jeju Island, around 30 reporters from various media team in Japan made a visit to the shooting location in Jejudo to make a coverage about CJW's first mellow-dramatic movie....
In addition to the "Yeonliji", Choi Ji-Woo and Yutaka Takenouchi's Japan-Korea collaboration drama "Rondo" will start its broadcasting on January 15, 2006 in Japan. It will be broadcasted in Korea later around April or May 2006.....
